Horseshoe Hammond Details
The Horseshoe Hammond is the site of the biggest poker room in the Midwest, with more than 30 open-area poker tables. This Horseshoe venue also spreads a number of high-limit tables in a private VIP section to stay true to founder Jack Binion’s passion for the highest possible stakes. Aesthetically, the main room is very attractive and laden with gold coloring. Extensive overhead lighting offsets the darkness of the supportive wooden beams and wall panelling to provide a very airy, bright interior.
The Horseshoe Hammond is a predominately no-limit hold’em poker room. Stakes as high as $25-$50 have been known to run here, plus occasional limit hold’em, pot-limit Omaha, and some H.O.R.S.E. games. The luxurious high-limit area is very lavish by comparison, with leather-upholstered chairs allowing high-flying visitors to play $100-$200 and beyond. The Horseshoe Hammond ably hosts a World Series of Poker Circuit event. Indiana’s biggest tournament series builds excitement toward the $1,675 buy-in main event. The winner of this event scoops a big payout and progresses to the WSOP-C National Championship, which guarantees more than $1 million to qualifiers.
